Swift action on a report received by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) led to the rescue of an eight (8) year old school boy kidnapped on his way to school in Binan, Laguna last Friday. The abducted boy resides in Biñan, Laguna and a pupil of the Montessori Children's Workshop also located in the same town. On June 22, 2012, the NBI office in Laguna was dispatched to act on an information about the abduction of an 8-year-old boy while on his way to school on board his school bus. A team was immediately formed and conducted surveillance. Two days later, the NBI received that a foreign-looking child was forcibly led into a wooden structure inside the Pines Ville Subdivision in Taytay, Rizal. Upon verification, it was found out that the child is a kidnapping victim from Laguna. The next day, June 26, 2012, after sustained surveillance, NBI agents proceeded to the area and rescued a boy in an abandoned shanty in Pines Ville Subdivision, Taytay, Rizal. NBI operatives brought the boy to the Bureau main office in Manila where he was reunited with his parents. |
