EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

RAIDA DALASDAS DAUK – Syndicated Illegal Recruitment on a large-scale

   

          On June 08, 2012 at about 4:30 in the afternoon, Subject RAIDA DALASDAS DAUK, an employee of 5 Star Recruitment and Manpower Corp. was arrested by NBI-Region XI operatives while conducting recruitment activities in Loreto St., Juna Subdivision, Davao City.  During the arrest, SEVENTY EIGTH (78) APPLICANTS coming from ARMM, South & North Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat provinces were rescued.

          Before the said operation, information was relayed to NBI-Region XI that allegedly the 5 Star Recruitment and Manpower Corporation are conducting recruitment activities in a rented apartment at Davao City and gathering applicants  (for deployment abroad) from different provinces in Mindanao.  Per verification with POEA, a certification was issued that 5 Star Recruitment and Manpower Corp. is not authorized to conduct recruitment activities in Davao City.

          The victims/applicants were interviewed and turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

          Subject RAIDA DALASDAS DAUK and other officials of 5 Star Recruitment and Manpower were charged on Inquest before the Office of the City Prosecutor Davao City for SYNDICATED ILLEGAL RECRUITMENT ON A LARGE SCALE.
