Violation of PD 705, as amended

 

            In the early morning of May 8, 2012, NBI-Region X (NEMRO) operatives intercepted along the highway of Dansolihon in Cagayan de Oro, a truck fully-loaded with lumber.  For failure to present the necessary permit, all Ninety Six (96) pieces of DIPTEROCARP lumber/flitch valued at Two Hundred Sixty One Thousand Three Hundred Eighty Pesos [Php 261,380.00] were seized and eventually, turned-over to the DENR-Region X Office.  Charges for violations of PD 705 (Forestry Reform Code) as amended, will be filed against Subjects ARCHIE ANAMPA BALOTAULO @ ‘Boyet’ (who chartered the truck) and EDGAR GAMAT @ ‘Egay’.
