SPO4 Avelino Gonzalez y Ballera for Homicide

            On 16 May 2012, at about 4:00PM, in Camp Vicente Lim, Canlubang, Calamab City, Laguna, operatives of the NBI-LAGDO arrested SPO4 AVELINO GONZALES y BALLERA by virtue of the Order of Arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court of Pasig City, Branch 160 in criminal case no. 115284 for HOMICIDE.
         
          Subject was convicted on said case in the decision rendered by the lower court on 24 October 2002.  On appeal, the Court of Appeals affirmed the decision of the lower court on 30 June 2006 and the decision became final and executory on 22 July 2006. Thus, the Order of Arrest was issued by the lower court against Subject for service of his sentence.

          Despite the said Order of Arrest, Subject who was then with the rank of SPO2 remained at large and continued his duties as police officer and was even promoted to the rank of SPO4.

          Subject is presently detained at the NBI-LAGDO pending the processing of his commitment order for service of his sentence at the NBP.
