EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

KING BAUTISTA, a.k.a. 'IKE' for Violation of R.A. 9165

          In our continuing battle against illegal drugs, our NBI-BACDO (Bacolod District Office) operatives, led by Head Agent FERDINAND M. LAVIN scored anew with the arrest of a well-known drug distributor KING BAUTISTA a.k.a. ‘IKE’, who was convicted for Violation of RA 6425 (Anti-Illegal Drugs Act), robbery, and attempted homicide.  He has pending case of another robbery at a Regional Trial Court in Bacolod City.

The raid against KING BAUTISTA yielded several drugs paraphernalia, proceeds of the sale of illegal drugs, two plastic sachets containing Shabu, bank records and other related documents believed to be evidence of illegal drugs trade. HA LAVIN extends his appreciation for the assistance rendered by the PNP in Bacolod City.  According to him, Police Senior Superintendent RAPIS and his men, helped in securing the area during the operation.  It was learned that Subject BAUTISTA nearly tried to shoot it out with the operatives who raided his house and an unlicensed caliber.45 firearm was recovered from him.

It was also learned that a day before the anti-drugs operation, City Councilor CARL LOPEZ personally went to the NBI Bacolod City office and pledged the support of the City government of Bacolod for the NBI to help eradicate or curb the drug menace of illegal drugs that destroys the lives of our youths.

This raid is significant considering the recent and brutal killing of Dr. GUMBAN by drug-crazed youths.
