Agents of the NBI cracked down on a syndicate following the arrest of four persons selling fake dollar bills in various denominations amounting to US$153,456 during an entrapment in Cubao, Quezon City over the week-end... The top management of the NBI took strong exception to a paid advertisement appearing in the June 28, 2010 issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, on the concern entitled- "A Change of the Old System of Selection of Bureau Director"... Do not deal with fixers! This is aired by the NBI following the arrest of a syndicate mastermind claiming to facilitate application for US visa and the seizure of dozens of tampered US passports and visas during raids in Bulacan recently... The NBI and the Manila Police District (MPD) solved the killing and robbery of a Binondo Chinese businessman following the arrest of two suspects/members of a Bukas Bodega gang in Parañaque City recently... The NBI arrested three suspects allegedly involved in the killing of a gang mate who double-crossed them in the daring DepEd P4.9 M payroll robbery in December last year... In the re-intensified campaign against drug trafficking, four suspects were arrested in separate occasions by the NBI-Anti Illegal Drugs Task Force (NBI-AIDTF) in Metro Manila this month... In the relentless crackdown on drug trafficking, the NBI arrested a syndicate member and seized one kilo of cocaine estimated at P4.5 million late last week... |
